Laundry service using DRY CLEANING…
…cleans the clothes without using any water. A special chemical/solvent (“Perc”) is used to wash the clothing to remove dirt, grease and stains. If some stains remain it is cleaned with special stain-remover liquid.
After the washing, the garment is tumble rinsed with freshly distilled solvent. This is done to eject dirt generated during the wash, from the whole garment lot. In addition, this solvent is also filtered and recycled, to be used again.
Finally, the clothing is passed through the drying process. This is done through a stream of dry warm air which vaporises all the traces of the solvent in the garment.
The clothes are now ready for ironing.
The main advantages with Dry Cleaning are: removal of stains, no discolouration, no colour leakage, and no shrinkage.
Laundry service using WET CLEANING…
…is the most common method of washing using water and detergent, in a washing machine. These detergents help in removing dirt and stains. After cleaning the dirty water is drained. Fresh water is poured into the machine to clean the clothing and remove all the dirt and detergent. This water is then drained.
Finally, the garment is spin dried in the washing machine.
The clothes are now ready to be ironed, to remove all the creases & to soften them - and make them wearable and usable.
The main advantages of Wet Cleaning are: it is cheaper than Dry Cleaning & more energy efficient than Dry Cleaning.
